We strive to Grow, Serve, and Belong
A place to GROW
As in many churches, worship is at the center of community life. The church community is multigenerational with opportunities for children to participate in worship.
Worship is traditional, yet very informal. Most worshippers are casually dressed and arrive eager for the warm, welcoming fellowship, as well as the Bible-centered preaching. Both the fellowship and the worship keep us moving forward in our spiritual journey.
There’s also Sunday School for children and adults, an active prayer chain, and a faith based pre-school.
Come, let us GROW together!
A place to SERVE
Jesus challenged us to love our neighbors, so SERVICE is at the heart of Goodwill’s community life.
We strive to think of others more than ourselves, and believe this to be a God-given purpose for Goodwill. Goodwill is faithful to this purpose by supporting local food pantries, helping families in need throughout our community, and supporting ministries such as Red Bird Mission, Samaritan’s Purse, and UMCOR.
We believe that as we address the needs of others, we give witness to the love of God and that witness changes a person and a world.
Seeking a place to SERVE; a place to live out the teachings of Jesus? Think of others and serve others with us.
A place to BELONG
The community of Goodwill UMC seeks to explore, understand and follow the teachings of Jesus. In doing so we believe we will discover that our lives have a God-given purpose, and that we will find ourselves in a personal relationship with Jesus, a deeper relationship with God and have a compassionate concern for others.
We welcome anyone who wants to take this spiritual journey with us. No matter where you are in your personal journey, we believe your story will enrich the community, and our stories enrich yours.
Let’s experience together what it means to BELONG to a community on an exciting journey.
