DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate Goodwill’s 192nd Anniversary! \nOur traditional morning service at 10:45 AM* will be followed by a luau themed luncheon and then a special performance by the Hagans Family at 2pm. \nWeather permitting\, we will be out in the grove but the church will be open.  Check out the new Millard Gathering Room and learn about the stained glass windows in the sanctuary. \nWe will be collecting items for UMCOR Cleaning Buckets. These will be donated to those affected by hurricanes\, tornadoes\, floods or other disasters.  The kits contain a variety of cleaning supplies to assist in the clean up process and are valued at about $75 each. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n Five-gallon round bucket with re-sealable lid (14.35” h x 12.19” w x 12.19” d) -No screw lids; may be used\, but must be free from all residual product; advertisements on the outside acceptable\nOne 32-64 oz. bottle liquid laundry detergent\nOne 16-40 oz. bottle liquid concentrate household cleaner – No spray cleaners\nOne 16-34 oz. bottle dish soap\nOne 4-8 oz. pump spray air freshener (liquid\, not gel)\nOne 6-14 oz. pump spray insect repellent (pack of 10-20 wipes also acceptable) – Pump spray bottles must have protective covers\nOne scrub brush – With or without handle\n18 re-useable cleaning wipes – No terrycloth\, microfiber or paper towels; remove from packaging\nFive scouring pads – No stainless-steel pads with soap in them; remove from packaging\n36-50 clothespins\nOne 50-100 ft. clothesline (cotton or plastic line)\n24 roll of heavy-duty trash bags (33-45-gallon sizes) – Remove from packaging\nFive N95 particulate respirator dust masks (1-3 mm thickness) – No surgical masks\nTwo pairs kitchen gloves – Durable for multiple uses; remove from packaging\nOne pair work gloves – Cotton with leather palm or all leather\n\n\n\n\n\nAssembly Directions \n\n\n\nAll items must be new with the exception of the bucket and lid which may be recycled but must be clean and free of debris.\nAll cleaning agents must be liquid form. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we create shoebox gifts for children around the world. Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes.  Each box packed full of quality toys\, school supplies\, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God’s immense love for the child. We’ll be collecting shoeboxes between November 3rd and November 17th. \nHow to Pack a Shoebox \n\nStart with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it\, cover the box and lid separately. You can use your own shoeboxes or pick up a shoebox from Goodwill during Sunday morning worship.\nChoose who your shoebox will be for – a boy or girl\, age 2-4\, 5-9\, or 10-14\nSelect a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal\, then fill with other fun toys\, school supplies\, and personal care items. DESCRIPTION:Pack a Shoebox!  Help a child in need around the world! \nBy filling ordinary shoeboxes full of toys and other fun items\, you can be part of giving boys and girls what may be their first gift ever! Local churches in more than 100 nations hand out these Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts at festive outreach events where the Gospel is presented in a child-friendly way. Each box bursting with items such as a soccer ball\, doll\, or stuffed animal becomes a tangible expression of God’s love to the child\, their family\, and their community. Many shoebox recipients also participate in Samaritan Purse’s 12-lesson follow-up discipleship program\, The Greatest Journey. \nShoeboxes are available to pick-up and drop-off between 9:30 AM and 12 PM on Sunday mornings. \nTo view a list of suggested gift items\, visit OCC Shoebox Gift Suggestions \nCheck donations may be made payable to Goodwill UMC and mailed to 148 Church Road\, Elverson\, PA 19520.
